First Day of Children Camp! |

At last, the long awaited 2nd Children Camp started today, kicking off with a very grand opening ceremony! Check out our video of the day! All the children got a hat, shirt, bag, and other goodies in their bags. We had plenty of activities, ice breakers, and some swim time! The local media came and interviewed some children and some of the WFDYS board members. Children also got to meet Vanessa Peretti, a former Miss Universe (3rd place), who is deaf and part of the camp committee. |

1 August 2010: Follow the WFD Youth Section to the 2nd Children Camp! Juan, Lars, Melissa, and Choy met up with the Venezuelan Group (9 children and 3 leaders, plus more staff and volunteers, 25 people in total), in Caracas city center, where the group rode together to the airport. It was the first plane ride for most of the children, so there were a lot of excitement at the airport before the flight! Upon arriving Margarita Island, warm balmy air greeted the group, as well as the Camp Organising Committee with two buses ready to bring the group to the camp! |
