Juan Angel De Gouveia of Venezuela is the WFDYS President. He also served on the 2003-2007 Board as a member. Juan works for the Venezuelan Association of the Deaf.

As the President of WFDYS, Juan attends a lot of meetings, seminars, and workshops all around the world, representing Deaf youth in different settings. Most recently, Juan attended Deaf youth conferences in Costa Rica and Argentina. Juan also attends WFD Board meetings, to represent the best interests of Deaf youth. As the President, Juan oversees the whole WFDYS and ensure we are working hard to push the rights of deaf youth in the world.
